I want to write this devotion for two reasons. Firstly, I want to thank those who have sent me encouraging notes. I am very thankful and praise God for using me to give encouragement to you through the words that He gives me.
“For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:5-6)
I would like to say that I only write these as God inspires them and gives me the scriptures and the words. Many times I am either convicted or encouraged in the course of writing them myself as well.
While I am happy to receive the encouragement I would like to say that all of the Glory and Praise belong to God. I am not my own, I am simply His vessel, a messenger of the words that He gives me. He wants us to seek Him and to know Him. But to do that, within our hearts we must lay down our lives and the things that we hold dear. We must seek Him first everyday. Yes, all praise, honor, and glory belong to Him!
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to HIM be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)
Loving Father God, I kneel at Your feet claiming the saving blood of Christ Jesus my Savior and Lord. I thank You and praise You. All honor and glory to You O, God! All honor and glory to You!!! I pray for my brothers and sisters who will read this that they will seek You and know Your glory as well. I pray that each and every one of them is encouraged by the words that You have given me to convey. I also humbly ask God that You would redeem my efforts and translate the message that You have for each one despite the failings of myself. In Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!!
