“I will exalt you, my God and King,
and praise your name forever and ever.
I will praise you every day;
yes, I will praise you forever.
Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
No one can measure his greatness.”
I have been praying and seeking what to write and I think that my first post after Easter should be an encouragement for all of us. I don’t know about you but I feel a definite slump after Christmas and Easter. We each celebrate these holidays in our own ways but I think if we concentrate on the true heart and importance of these holidays we must press on with the spirit of each of these holidays throughout the year. Each day should be a thanksgiving for the Sovereign Living God sending His one and only Son who was a living sacrifice to save us from our sin. Each day we should reflect on this and give thanks for Jesus coming to this earth as a man, His death for us, and He arose breaking the chains of death in His resurrection.
“giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,” (Ephesians 5:20)
“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!”
Father God, we praise You and thank You for all that You have done for us. Most of all we thank You for sending Your Son Jesus Christ to die for us so that we might be made clean by His blood and made right with You. We give You thanks and praise and ask that You would continue to give us a joyful spirit throughout the year. In Christ’s name we pray. AMEN
