Father God, You are our Creator and our King. I bow my heart before you in humility and ask forgiveness for my sin. Thank You for Jesus’ redemptive blood that was shed to pay the debt for that sin and for the sin of all mankind. As my brothers and sisters and I read Your word in our bibles today help us to know how to apply it in our lives. Use it not only to remind us of our failures and things that we need to strive towards but also as a tool of healing and encouragement. Speak life into each of us in our place of need. We are all fighting personal battles and the sword of Your word is both our weapon and our balm. Give us strength and courage today and help us as we go into the daily battles that we fight. Bless us each and shine the glorious light of Your face upon each of us and let us feel it’s warmth and comforting love. We love You Father and we need You with us every moment.
