“I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. 

    We are not able to plan our own course.” Jeremiah 10:23 

Father God, I love You and thank You and praise You for all that You do for me. You are everything to me and I am nothing without You or apart from You. It’s difficult sometimes to go through life fraught with disappointments, shattered dreams, and so much suffering and to still understand and feel Your love for us knowing that this verse reminds us that our lives are not our own and that You and You along guide every step that we take. We understand that You allow us to have freedom of choice within the confines of Your sovereign will and plans for our lives but, to know that sometimes you allow us to go through such hardship, suffering, and pain is difficult to deal with. How God, are those of us who love You so much supposed to believe in Your love and to trust in Your faithfulness when our suffering and pain is so great and so long? Please God, show us Your love and faithfulness, be merciful and gracious to us out of Your lovingkindness and pour out Your gifts of love and affection on us. Flood us with Your beauty, and majestic splendor. Shine Your face upon us and take our breath away with Your glory and majesty. Please God, I pray that You will pour out Your loving-kindness upon us and drown us in Your goodness, grace, and blessings. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
