“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Sovereign God, sometimes this life is very difficult and painful and sometimes these words are difficult to live out and to hold onto. I bow my heart humbly before You as Your son, claiming the blood of Christ Jesus and the inheritance it brings. I am heartbroken and crushed both in heart and spirit. I come to You today and cry out both for myself and for those around me who are hurting. So many of us feel abandoned and forgotten. We need to know and experience Your love and goodness for ourselves. We need to feel the warmth and light of the glow of Your glorious face upon us today. We need to see Your faithfulness to Your promises, we need to know that You do care about these hopes and dreams of ours that have been shattered to dust and blown away in the winds of time. God, You created us and You are our Father, our Savior, and our King! We plead with You today out of our deep need for Your love and Your goodness, Your mercy and grace! We thank You for all that You do and who You are! All praise and glory and honor belong to You! I ask these things, crying out in the name of Christ Jesus. AMEN!
