Psalm_63:1_601x800_StonyIslandNF

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;

    my soul thirsts for you;

my flesh faints for you,

    as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1 ESV

Sovereign God, this is very much how I feel right now. As Psalm 69:3 says my throat is parched and I am exhausted from crying for help and my eyes are swollen from weeping and waiting for You to help me. Please God, I cry out to you also on behalf of my brothers and sisters and ask that You would hear our cries and prayers and be merciful and gracious to us. We long to have the warmth of Your shining face upon us and to see Your mighty hand work for us. We long for the blessings and gifts that the bible says that you take pleasure in pouring out for us. Please draw near, Holy God and help us to feel Your love and compassion for us. Speak into our lives and give us direction and guidance. Grant us the joy and peace that Your Word promises us. We ask these things in the name of Christ Jesus our Savior and King; AMEN!
