In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:6-9 NKJV

Sovereign God, I humbly bow at Your feet. I love You and I give You thanks and praise. I thank You for giving me insight on these verses both in my own heart and from C. H. Spurgeon. Even if we grieve for a while, even if we suffer and get depressed You have promised to give us joy and to fill us with rejoicing. God, I lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ to You today as well. Please God hear our cries, hear our pleas to You, work in our lives and in the lives of those that we are praying for and move Your mighty and glorious hand on our behalf. We lift up prayers of righteousness and prayers that are in Your will according to Your Holy Scriptures. We lift each and every petition and word of intercession up to You in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. All glory, honor, and praise belong to You; AMEN!
