Father God, I love You and I give You thanks and praise. Please have mercy on me, forgive me for my sin, and be gracious to me. I lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ to You today as well. Please help us to know you more and give us the knowledge of Yourself that results in good judgment. Help us to always have You and Your ways on our minds and in our hearts so that we will strive to live for You and in the right way in Your sight. Help us to simply focus on our relationship with You and to put aside everything in “religion” that doesn’t pertain to the gospel of Christ and what the bible tells us is Your will for our lives. The bible tells us in 1 John 2:27 that Your Holy Spirit is the only teacher that we need. Help us not to rely on the intellect or scholarship of humans but to look to You and Your Holy Word. Precious Holy Spirit, please teach us and make us and mould us into the people that You would have us to be. Make us more and more like Christ Jesus each and every day. Thank You for sending Jesus to this earth to pay the price for our sin and to leave us with an example of how to live our lives. I love You! You alone are worthy of our praise and worship. All honor and glory are Yours alone! In Christ Jesus’ name I pray; AMEN!
