As the Scriptures say, 

“People are like grass; 

    their beauty is like a flower in the field. 

The grass withers and the flower fades. 

    But the word of the Lord remains forever.” 

And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.  1 Peter 1:24-25 NLT 

 

Father God, I love You and I give You thanks and praise. I come into Your presence in brokenness and bow my heart before You. I lift up these prayers both for myself as well as for my brothers and sisters in Christ who are reading this post. Please help us to focus on the eternal things in our lives and not on the temporal. Please lift us onto Your lap and hold us close as Your children. Show us Your love as our eternal Father, our God, and our King. Thank You for Jesus and for the freedom that He purchased for us with His death and resurrection. Thank You for this reminder today that Your word remains forever and that Your promise of our salvation through the Good News of Jesus stands true and eternal. You, Yahweh God alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise! It’s in Christ Jesus’ name that I pray these things; AMEN!
