Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.  Colossians 3:16 NLT 

Father God, I love You and I give You thanks and praise today. I bow my heart humbly at Your feet and petition You on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ as well as myself. Father, thank You for Jesus and for Your free gift of salvation through Him. Give us strength and direction for the things that You would have us to turn away from. Forgive us of those sinful things and help us to be more like Christ each day. Give us His love and the compassion to help each other as we make this journey together. Help us to know when to talk and what to say, and when to just be silent and to help each other through our companionship. We lift our hearts and voices in praise to You even more in this season as we move towards Christmas in a few weeks. Illuminate the real meaning of this season within our hearts and minds and help us not to get caught up in the worldly things around us. This is a season of contemplation and thanks to You for all that You have done for us so that we don’t have to be separated from You but can have an eternal life with You. We can have salvation because of Christ Jesus Your Son who came to this earth as a human, lived a sinless life to show us how to live, and died for our sin and paid the ultimate price so that we may be free through our belief in Him and by living for Him each and every day. You alone are worthy of our thanks and praise. I love You and thank You and praise You and I ask these things in the name of Christ; AMEN
