God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT

Sovereign God, I love You and I give You thanks and praise…  Please help us to always remember this truth and to never take for granted the great gift of salvation that You have given us through Your Son Jesus Christ. I bow my heart humbly at Your feet offering prayers of thanks and praise for this truth and in intercession for my brothers and sisters in Christ. Please God, shine Your face upon us today. Many of us are suffering in various ways and are in need of deliverance, and provision that only You can provide with Your strong but gentle and mighty hand. Plant within each and every one of us today a very real and special since of the goodness and festivity of this season that we celebrate Your Son’s arrival on this earth so very long ago. Keep us mindful of the sufferings of His life and death as well as the glorious and redemptive promise of His resurrection to life once again. Place within us childlike joy of the festivities of the season but keep us mindful of the reason that we celebrate for You and You alone are worthy of all glory and honor and praise. I pray these things in the name of Christ Jesus my Savior and King; AMEN!
