Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
So when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth. Luke 2:36-39 NKJV
Father God, I love You and I give You thanks and praise. You alone are worthy of all glory and honor and praise. I bow my heart at Your feet and lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus to You as well. Please touch each of us and shine Your glorious face upon us that this holiday season may be a time of renewal and refreshment for our hearts. Rekindle and feed the fire that burns within us with Your Holy Spirit that we may live for You with resolve and renewed strength and vigor. Give us a spirit of courage and boldness to share the good news of Christ Jesus with others who don’t know You. Help the seeds of belief that we plant to fall on fertile ground in unbeliever’s hearts. Go with us and shine through us, give us the gifts of Your Spirit that You promise in Your Word so that they may believe and come to know You and love You as we do. I love You and I pray these things in the name of Jesus; AMEN!
