I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.  John 16:33 NLT

I think it’s a good reminder today that our lives are affected by other’s sinfulness and that inevitably our sinfulness affects others as well. Let us remember this each and every day so that we can be the spark that shows Christ in this dark world. When someone reacts negatively towards us let’s remember that just like us they are going through hardships as well.

Let’s ask ourselves, what can I do to show the love of Christ to someone else today? What can I do to make right a wrong that I have committed to someone today? How can I be Christlike and help soothe someone else’s sorrows today, if even just a little?

Most High God, I love You and I come before You humbled and begging for mercy at Your feet. You are wondrous and you alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. Please show each of us who are Your children through Christ today Your grace and bountiful healing affections. Pour Your love deep within us and soothe the wounds of our hearts. We are going through trials, tribulations, sorrows, and deep suffering. Please raise each one of us and help us to remember and to know experientially of Your great and amazing love and kindness towards us. Your word makes many promises to us, please help us to see those promises fulfilled. Shine Your face upon us and help us to see it’s light and feel it’s warmth. I love You and I thank and praise You. In Jesus’ precious name I pray; AMEN
