Amos_5:14-15_800x533_Gabrielle

Do what is good and run from evil
so that you may live!
Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper,
just as you have claimed.
Hate evil and love what is good;
turn your courts into true halls of justice.
Perhaps even yet the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies
will have mercy on the remnant of his people.
  Amos 5:14-15 NLT

Sovereign Most High God, I love You and I give You thanks and praise. Thank You for this reminder today that holds so true even in light of the New Testament and of our lives in Christ. I pray that we may live our lives in the confidence of Your mercy and grace through Jesus but, also with some fear and trembling as we seek wholeheartedly to live as You ask us to live out our daily lives. Help us to remember that our salvation and believing in Christ isn’t just a ticket into heaven and an excuse to do as we please but that everyday should be lived for You and in relationship with You. I lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ as well today. Many of us are going through hardships, afflictions, and suffering. Comfort us Father, and help us to see Your glorious shining countenance and to feel it’s warmth upon us. Pour out Your love and rescue us, defend us, restore our health, and bless us from your goodness and lovingkindness. I ask that You would give us the peace that surpasses all understanding and an overflowing joy to fill our hearts. Help us to be constantly reminded of Your charge to each of us to spread the gospel of Christ and to make disciples of all people. Give us a courage and boldness to speak out in our daily lives about You and of the good news of Jesus and of salvation through Him. I love You God and I give you thanks and praise. I pray all these things in the name of Christ Jesus my Savior and Lord; AMEN
