Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12 NKJV
I think it’s good, even when we’ve heard it a thousand times to always remember “The Golden Rule” and to treat each other like we want to be treated. We must ask ourselves, would I want to be …? Let’s remember this verse and think about this before wronging a family member for the sake of ourselves, making that facebook post, sending that text, pushing that friend aside because they don’t fit in to our place in life anymore, cut someone off in traffic, etc… Let’s truly strive to live how Jesus taught and commanded us to live.
Father God, I love You and I give You thanks and praise. You are glorious and majestic. Please forgive me for being quick to act and slow to think, forgetting this truth sometimes. Have mercy on me and be gracious today to give me strength and a slow temper as I meditate on this verse and try to make a habit of living from it. I ask that You would shine Your glorious face upon each of us today and bring us the peace, comfort, and joy because many of us are suffering and struggling to see Your goodness and love for us as individuals. Please give us courage and boldness to share the gospel of Christ with those around us and please send Jesus back for us soon. Please provide for each of us and give us each enough to share with those around us who are in need. Go with us today and protect us from the evil one. Yahweh God, You and You alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. I pray these things not only for myself but for my brothers and sister in Christ Jesus in His Holy name as our Savior and Lord; AMEN
