If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. 1 John 4:20-21 NKJV
Father God, I love you. I need You more and more each day. I am nothing without You. Please have mercy on my sinfulness and be gracious to me. I come to You with my spirit bowed in reverence and humility. Thank You for this reminder today, help us to love one another as You would have us to both in our hearts and in our deeds. Help us to know how to show Christ-like love to one another as servants and in sharing of what we have with those in need. God, many of us are suffering in many different ways. Please remember us and remember Your promise from Isaiah which our Lord quoted as recorded in Matthew 12:20 “A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench,”. Please God, remember that we are just dust. Psalm 103:14 Father, we look to you as wounded children to a beloved parent. We look to You as the God whom nothing is impossible for; Luke 1:37. Please hear our prayers and use these situations to show Your glory to us and to all who are around us. Give us testimonies to Your goodness and grace. Pour out Your Holy Spirit and give us the gifts that You promised; John 14:12-14. Please bring us the healing and restoration, deliverance and rescue, provision, and other blessings that we seek. Please God, as Daniel prayed “Oh Lord, listen and act! Do not delay!”; Daniel 9:19 Your name is at stake God, because there are those who know that we are waiting on You and we are relying on Your mighty hand. Please don’t return our reliance on You and our prayers to You void. Shine Your glorious face down upon us and bless us from Your goodness and grace. I pray these things again as John 14 says in the name of Christ Jesus my Savior and King; AMEN!
