Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.  Deuteronomy 6:4-5 NKJV

Sovereign God, I love You and I give You thanks and praise. You alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. You are the One True Living God, The Creator of ALL things, both seen and unseen. Thank You for this reminder from Your Holy Word today that You are to be our first love and that our focus and affections are to be totally and completely on You. We are reminded that our love and service for others is showing love for You, that our sacrificing of ourselves for the sake of those around us is loving You. Thank you Father for these reminders and truths. We love You and give You thanks and praise! Please shine Your glorious face upon us and show us Your great mercy and grace. I pray these things in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord; AMEN!
