You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:43-45 NKJV
Father God, I love You and I give You thanks and praise. You are awesome and wonderful, worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. I bow humbly at Your feet in adoration and wonder. Thank You for reminding us in these verses of who You are and what You want us to be about. It’s hard to live up to these standards and I thank You for Your mercy and grace. Please give us a spirit of calmness and of strength and give us the desire to live out of the love that You so freely pour into us. Please God hear our prayers and petitions. Many of us are suffering and need Your hand to move for us in supernatural ways, we need miracles that only You can give us. Please bring us the healing, restoration, deliverance, rescue, provision, blessings and fulfillment of Your promises that we seek. Draw near to us and shine on us in ways that we’ve never experienced You before. God, You are everything and we are nothing without You. Please open the eyes and ears of our hearts and show us the fullness of Your love and goodness. Pour out all of the goodness, provision, blessing, and great gifts that You have for us so that we can encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ. Even more importantly, enable us so that we can show those who don’t believe not only that You are alive and well but that You love us and so that You can draw them unto Yourself and free them through the gift of salvation through Christ Jesus our Savior and King. Father, I love You and I need You; please show us Your glory and the glory of Your Son Jesus who is the Christ, our Savior and Lord; AMEN
