So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT
I know that I’ve used this verse before but, I want to share something as a reminder. As I was moving through my day yesterday I felt the distinct nudge to pray for someone specifically and to send them a message to tell them that I love them and that I’m praying for them. Later, after I had sent that message I received a simple response that confirmed that my prayers and message were received at the right time.
I say this as a reminder to all of us to remember to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and to respond when we’re asked to respond because even a simple word of encouragement may mean more than we know.
Father God, I love You and I bring You thanks and praise. Thank You for allowing me to be Your vessel and for reminding me that even our smallest act of encouragement matters. You alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise and I marvel at Your greatness. I lift up my brothers and sisters to You today also. We need You God, many of us are suffering in many different ways. Please hear our prayers and petitions and be gracious in Your response to us. Please Lord bless us and keep us. Shine Your glorious face upon us, and be gracious to us. God of hope, lift up Your countenance upon us, show us Your favor, give us Your peace. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with our spirits and fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name I pray; AMEN!
