Luke_2:8-10_800x600_BrockScript

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”  Luke 2:8-10 NKJV

Sovereign God, I bow humbly before Your glorious feet and proclaim my love and devotion to You. I worship You and give You thanks and praise. Thank You for Your Son, thank You for the gift of salvation. Father, I pray that You will lift us all today, bless us and keep us.  Shine Your glorious face upon us, and be gracious to us.  God of hope, lift up Your countenance upon us, show us Your favor, give us Your peace.  May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with our spirits and fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit. AMEN

As we celebrate today, as we travel, as we go forth with our Christmas traditions keep us safe and keep us mindful of You. If there are those in our paths that don’t know You who need Jesus help us to know when and how to share the good news of the great gift that You have given to us. Make those people receptive and open to the words that You give us and make those seeds to fall on fertile soil. Most of all today God we worship and adore You for all that You have done for us, for Your great love and devotion to us, for Your mercy and grace! You and You alone Yahweh are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise! I pray these things in the name of Your Son who is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; AMEN!
